The “Parc del Laberint d’Horta” is the oldest preserved historical garden in the city of Barcelona. It owes its name to the cut cypress labyrinth located in the bottom of the place.
The park was born as a neoclassical eighteenth century garden on a Desvall’s family property until 1971, when opened as a public park of the City of Barcelona. The neoclassical garden park was dedicated to the love and the romantic garden from the nineteenth century was constructed referign to the fear of death.
The Labyrinth Park is a garden-musem where you can walk, play with the kids, relax, read a book and enjoy a wonderful and varied display of plants, flowers and vegetation. The landscaped park area is surrounded by a large Mediterranean forest.
Discover places like the Minotaur’s cave, the romantic canal, the chinese door, or the artificial waterfall created with rocks.
As indicated by an inscription of a marble relief of Ariadne and Theseus: Come in, come out without detour, the labyrinth is simple, does not need the ball Ariadne gave Theseus. Lose yourself in the labyrinth through a number of fountains, water ponds and sculptures of Greek mythology.
The domestic garden and the “bojos” garden complete this “lung of the city” where the main color is the green Mediterranean of Barcelona.
Visit for free the park every Wednesday and Sunday, and enjoy the green jewel of the district of Horta-Guinardó from Barcelona.
However, if you are more classic and want your holiday to Europe is full of luxurious details provided, then the best option for you is to book a room in Prague or a room in Barcelona that will become your haven of peace.
