CaixaForum
The CaixaForum in Barcelona is a cultural center that offers a wide variety of artistic and educational projects intended for all audiences. It is located in the former textile factory Casaramona, one of the most important works of Catalan modernism, designed by architect Puig i Cadafalch. The building, that keeps the original structure and the old bricks, and at the same time has a very modern entrance, has showrooms, an auditorium, a bar and a bookstore.
It is well worth the small walk through this incredible space and visit some of its exhibits. Moreover, this cultural center has special activities for children: incredible artistic workshops in which it is created, for example, clothing and characterization of characters, and countless family shows, concerts, film and theater, designed for the whole family.

Zoo de Barcelona
The Zoo of Barcelona is located in the Parc de la Ciutadella, in one of the buildings built for the Universal Exhibition of Barcelona (1888). It opened in 1892 with animals that came from the private collection of Lluís Martí i Codolar, who donated his animals from “Old Farm” in Horta to the Barcelona City Council.
Today, this zoo has one of the largest collections of exotic animals in Europe. Amphibians, reptiles, monkeys, camels, elephants, tigers, hippos, elephants, crocodiles, ostriches, gorillas, giraffe, flamingos…, a countless species some of which are also endangered. A part of the animals, in this place there is also a set of sculptures that is worth to see: the famous ‘Lady with an umbrella’ or sets of deer and eagles, among many others. An excellent excuse to spend a funny day with the family!

L’Aquàrium de Barcelona
Aquariums are magical places where one can “dive” into the deep sea, contemplating its different species as if in front of a screen. In Spain these spaces are usually called “Aquarium” and the one in Barcelona is located in the Port Vell, right on the Moll de la Fusta, and has 35 tanks, 11,000 animals and 450 different species, and also an underwater tunnel which allows see sharks up close. It is thus a marine leisure and education center specializing in Mediterranean species. It also has lots of activities, games, experiential workshops, theater activities and a playground designed to raise awareness of the marine world to younger children.

Parc d’Atraccions Tibidabo
In the Collserola mountain, with panoramic views across the city, is the Tibidabo amusement park, one of the most classic and most magical of the world, which opened in 1901 and continues today still operating. Among its most famous and scenic attractions are the old Miramiralls a space of concave and convex mirrors that produces grotesque and exaggerated images; La Talaia, an imposing metal structure 50 meters high which is in operation since 1921, and the plane that is a replica of the first to make the Barcelona-Madrid route and retains its original internal elements such as radiotelephone station 1933.
In addition to these famous attractions, the park also has a museum of automata that have a unique collection of mechanical figures, dioramas and show machines of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. A trip to the past and childhood in exchange for an entry for 28.20 euros. For children less than 1.20 meters, tickets cost 10 euros, and they have free admission for children that do not exceed 90 centimeters.

Calalunya en miniatura
This park, which opened in May 1983 with the aim of creating a representative map of the highlights of Catalonia, is ideal for the whole family. There you can enjoy a unique Miniature Circuit of Catalunya with reproductions of all the most important and famous buildings in the area.
This park was declared a site of national tourist interest and also has a range of leisure and lively forest, a place full of adventure for adults and children to get lost among trees and hang on ziplines. It also has many other services for a great day: picnic area, bar, restaurant, train, amphitheater, playground… A fun way to approach the Catalan geography and architecture.
